Steve Harvey bυys $15M new Atlanta mega-mansion for his family

Steve Harvey follows Madea. Those barriers are always funny.

TMZ alleged that comedian-turned-talk-show-host and self-help author Harvey and his wife Marjorie bought Tyler Perry’s Buckhead mansion in Atlanta, Georgia, for $15 mιllιon.

Harvey and Perry’s content alone might create a TV network. The 63-year-old hosts “Showtime at the Apollo,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” and Miss Universe.

Perry has BET, Netflix, OWN, Nickelodeon, and other shows. Before becoming successful entertainers, both were homeless and lived in their automobiles.

After almost two years on the market with an exorbitant $25 mιllιon asking price, Perry sold the 35,000-square-foot mansion for $17.5 mιllιon in 2016. The house was Atlanta’s most expensive home transaction, notwithstanding the multimιllιon-dollar disparity between the asking price and the sale price.

Before reading the seven-bedroom, 9.5-bath home’s many features, take a breath. The setting: 17 acres of groomed grounds, trimmed gardens, a 70,000-gallon infinity-edged pool, illuminated tennis court, fully equipped gym, and separate spa.

The extravagant estate has a guesthouse, guardhouse, detached caretakers suite, complex security system, and backup generator that can power the entire estate. The French Provincial-inspired main mansion has a theater, indoor pool, wine cellar, and underground ballroom with catering kitchen.

According to buckhead.com, former businessman turned evangelist David Turner bought Perry and sold Harvey. His business and home purchase seem crazy. “I went online and saw this house, and I felt like God told me, ‘This is your house,’” he told the outlet. Turner lost $2.5 mιllιon, not including carrying expenses, upgrades, and realtor fees, when he sold the mansion.

Harvey also has a large property in Atlanta and a 6,500-square-foot, five-bedroom, 6.5-bath mansion in Little Elm, Texas, listed for $1.1 mιllιon. Before buying the Perry home, he and his family lived in a $100,000-a-month Beverly Park guard-gated community mansion in the mountains above Beverly Hills, California.
