Many awards have been given to Simone Biles as a dancer, but her NFL star husband, Jonathan Owens, says he had never heard of her before they met.

Their first meeting was on a dating app in 2020. They got married in April. Owens, who is 28 years old, talked about Raya in a recent episode of “The Pivot” show.

“So I had been using the app for a few days and all of a suԀԀen she showed up. I thought, ‘Let me see who this is.’” Former NFL stars Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder were hosting a podcast. Owens told them, “I had never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity.” Biles, 26, was sitting close and listening.

At the time, the Green Bay Packers back was playing for the Houston Texans. He said he swiped her and saw that they were a fit. After that, he worked out at the gym.

Owens saw that Biles had found his Instagram page when he got back.
