Gucci Mane is an American rapper and record executive. He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on February 12th, 1980. He helped create and popularize the hip hop subgenre of trap music, alongside fellow Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy. 

Additionally, in 2005, he released his debut album, Trap House. His fourth studio album, The State vs. Radric Davis was certified gold. Gucci mane has released 14 studio albums throughout his career. 

Additionally, in 2007 he founded his own label, 1017 Records. He has worked with artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, Selena Gomez, and Mariah Carey.
