The singer-turned-Fenty Beauty creator recently went out wearing a pair of space buns that were incredibly “aww”-worthy. Her freshly dyed honey-blonde hair was parted in the middle, divided into two portions, and gathered into buns on either side of her head. To conceal any elastic and add more intricacy to the look, a portion of each section’s hair was wrapped around the base of the bun. To accentuate her warm blonde highlights and frame her face, two tendrils were dragged out on either side. She accessorized the buns with a similarly ’90s ensemble consisting of trousers, a zip-up sweatshirt, a white tank, and hoops earrings.

The Fenty Beauty crew accurately described Rihanna’s appearance as “glowing and glossy,” so the buns aren’t the only noteworthy component. For her day out, the celebrity used products from Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty. She applied the limited-edition Gloss Bоmb in Pink Dragonfly, a lovely translucent pink, to the tip of her nose and her cheekbones, and she highlighted her skin with the soft peachy champagne Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Meаn Money/Hu$tla Baby.

Stars like Mel B. of the Spice Girls helped make space buns a megatrend in the 1990s, but they’ve made a comeback recently, maybe because we’re so obsessed with everything Y2K and the 1990s. In August, Tia Mowry donned a spiky outfit reminiscent to Zenon, while Ciara’s silver buns made her look like a real-life anime character. With her blonde hair, J. Lo has even adopted the look, embodying both Baby and Scary Spice. What more could you want for? They’re charming, useful, and now they’ve received the much-coveted Rihanna seal of approval.
