Billie Eilish Come Out! She must be for girls

Billie Eilish is now considering how the public reacted to her apparent coming out during her cover story for Variety’s Power of Wоme𝚗 issue last month. When asked if she had planned to come out during the interview, Eilish said, “No, I didn’t, but I kind of thought,” while walking the red carpet for Variety’s Hitmakers event on December 2.Was it not apparent? I simply wasn’t aware that others weren’t aware. “I’m just like, why can’t we just exist?” she said, indicating that she doesn’t particularly believe in the idea of coming out. I just didn’t talk about it after doing this for a while, whoops.

The Oscar winner was therefore taken aback by the public’s response: “I saw all the articles and was like, ‘Oh, I guess I came out today.'”Okay, neat. The “wish you were gаy” singer clarified, “But it’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know, so it’s cool that they know, but, ooh I’m nervous talking about it…but no, I am for the girls.”

Even though she loved and was attracted to other wоme𝚗, Eilish talked about how difficult it was for her to relate to them in the original Variety interview. It was a casual comment that everyone instantly picked up on. What was more fascinating was when Eilish continued the discussion by discussing her own complicated connection with gender and how the reaction to her song “What Was I Made For?” in the Barbie movie affected that relationship. With a message that read, “Thanks Variety for my award and for also outing me on a red carpet at 11 am instead of talking about anything else that matters,” Eilish posted a commentary on the hoopla around her interview on Instagram.
