Love is Diddy’s latest nаme after Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and others.

However, he rarely uses his birth nаme, Sean Combs. 

Only his mom and Jay-Z can call him that.

On “Carpool Karaoke,” the 53-year-old celebrity told James Corden, “I was born Puffy and then I become P. Diddy,” after “The Late Late Show” host inquired how to address him.

“Then they called me Diddy because I was so pretty,” says he. “And then Puff Daddy and then I became who I am now, which is Love.”

When asked by Corden why he didn’t nаme Sean, Diddy said, “My mother uses Sean. “When you’re in trouble,” Corden said, adding that Sean wasn’t “approved” to phone him.

Corden then inquired if anyone in the entertainment world may call him Sean.

“There’s only one person, and I call him Shawn, that’s Jay-Z,” Diddy stated. Jay-Z is Shawn Carter.

“We call each other Sean,” he said. no one else can call me Sean. No one but my mother should nаme me Sean.”
