Venus Williams expresses appreciation to Serena Williams for all of her help throughout the years
Venus Williams recently posted an emotional statement regarding sister Serena’s 30 years of support.
The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion and former World No. 1 posted photos of her sister Serena Williams cheering her on in two grasscourt tournament finals 23 years apart.
Wimbledon’s official social media platforms posted it Wednesday, June 14. A photo from the 2000 Wimbledon wоme𝚗’s singles final showed Venus defeating Lindsay Davenport in straight sets to earn her first Major title.
At the 2023 Libema Open Grass Court Championships in the Netherlands, the elder sister fell to Switzerland’s Celine Naef in the first round. Both shots show Serena cheering for her sister from the stands.
Wimbledon tweeted, “Over two decades of sisterly support on the grass.”
The 42-year-old American posted on her Instagram story with emotional eyes emojis and wrote:
