Venus Williams expresses appreciation to Serena Williams for all of her help throughout the years

Venus Williams recently posted an emotional statement regarding sister Serena’s 30 years of support.

The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion and former World No. 1 posted photos of her sister Serena Williams cheering her on in two grasscourt tournament finals 23 years apart.

Wimbledon’s official social media platforms posted it Wednesday, June 14. A photo from the 2000 Wimbledon wоme𝚗’s singles final showed Venus defeating Lindsay Davenport in straight sets to earn her first Major title.

At the 2023 Libema Open Grass Court Championships in the Netherlands, the elder sister fell to Switzerland’s Celine Naef in the first round. Both shots show Serena cheering for her sister from the stands.

Wimbledon tweeted, “Over two decades of sisterly support on the grass.”

The 42-year-old American posted on her Instagram story with emotional eyes emojis and wrote:

Venus Williams remаins optimistic after Libema Open 2023 exit.

Venus Williams, 42, plays on the WTA Tour over 30 years after her 1994 debut. Despite losing in the first round of the 2023 Libema Open, she was hopeful about her game.

Celine Naef of Switzerland, 25 years younger than Williams, challenged her on Wednesday, June 13. After a close encounter, the 17-year-old won 3-6, 7-6(3), 6-2.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion said she was well after a tough three-set match on social media. She pledged to persevere and return stronger.
