In 2017, tennis icon Serena Williams posted a humorous video in response to Instagram’s “Reality versus. A white 2021 Lincoln Navigator gleamed in the backdrop as she walked gracefully in high heels.
This year, she can be seen walking to the driver’s door while wearing a long beige trench coat and boots, then switching to a purple sundress and heels as she exits the car from the passenger door. However, a Lincoln Navigator is a constant. The Navigator is still available, although the clip features a later-year (2022) model that is black in color.
The fact that she is still contemplating retirement and has stated that the likelihood of her returning to tennis is “very high” suggests that the caption’s references to “evolution” and a “new phase of life” are related. She appears to have no doubts about the Lincoln Navigator, though.
Offering “the epitome of refined power,” the Navigator SUV can carry up to eight people. Prices range from $77,635 to $109,120 (not including destination charges or other fees) for one of its five possible trim levels (Standard, Reserve, Reserve L, Lincoln Black Label Navigator, and Lincoln Black Label Navigator L).
The Navigator is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with twin turbochargers and Auto Start-Stop Technology, mated to a 10-speed Select Shift automatic transmission. The engine produces 444 horsepower (450 ps) and 500 lb-ft (678 Nm) of torque at maximum RPM. Depending on the model, the Navigator can have either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. These numbers suggest that the SUV can accelerate to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) in 5.9 seconds.
In 2018, Serena became a spokesperson for Ford Motor Company’s luxury brand, and it appears that the Navigator is her favorite model.
